We invite you to Back Sea Mountain, our tiny house located at the tip of Yilan, a county settled by the shores of northeastern Taiwan. The charming stay is tucked between the mountains and the sea, laid on a gravel campsite area with beautiful scenery of mountains on one side and the deep, blue Pacific ocean on the other.

The Space:
The Back Sea Mountain is located at the southernmost tip of Yilan, near Hanben railway station in the midst of a coast-side mountainous terrain of Aohua Mountain. Find easily accessible hiking trails from the campsite including paths leading to Aohua Waterfalls and walks to Hanben beach. If you plan to drive up to Yilan County for a day trip, you can find popular attractions including Lanyang Museum , Luodong night market and Taipingshan National Forest Recreational Area.

It’s a comfortable accommodation with easy access to water, split air conditioning, a kitchenette, cooking equipment, and excellent bathroom facilities.

The bathroom follows ecologically sustainable principles, including a flush toilet, hand basin, and shower (gas heated for hot showers). It focuses on satisfying people's needs with natural resources and processes to save water through using eco-friendly toilets to save the environment.

If you plan to spend your tiny house escapes here, we advise that you bring your basic necessities, such as food and water during your stay with us. Thank you!

The Neighborhood:
Back Sea Mountain is located at Nan’ao Township. It’s a laid back town on Taiwan's east coast that can be reached via the Suhua Highway. It's a lovely county where you can explore and adventure in, find yourself walking up to beautiful lakes hidden between a topography of mountains, or visit the towns filled with Taiwan's vibrant indigenous cultures.

Our local recommendations:
- There is Hanben Sea Relay Station 150 meters to the north, featuring stunning sea views and a big swing where you can sway your worries away!
- Taiwan Cement DAKA Park combines a water dance show, glasshouse Starbucks, integrated 7-ELEVEN and marketplace for you to spend a relaxing day out, it’s about 1.5 kilometers to the south of the stay
- About 3 minutes south of the Suhua Highway, there is a tribe village area called Aohua, originally belonging to the the aboriginal Atayal (泰雅) tribe which has a very famous 600-year-old camphor tree and a nearby Aohua Waterfall to rest your feet by the waters.
- Nan'ao Mysterious Beach Trail is an ancient trail by the beach where you can enjoy the sea and sky of the Pacific Ocean. Beside the trail there are towering cliffs covered with green plants, perfect for a morning stroll.

-Lanyang Museum is a natural history museum with interesting architecture that exhibits the wonderful nature and people of Yilan.
-Luodong night market is great if you’re looking for a place to snack on local food while having an essential Taiwan experience.
-Taipingshan National Forest Recreational Area is known for its nature trails that has a mystical charm.
-Fenniaolin Fishing Harbour is a beautiful beach area with fishing for groupers & parrotfish. The harbour provides beautiful views of crystal clear, blue ocean and rock formations.

Getting Around:
By car：

- It is about 145 kilometers from Taipei City to the campsite area, and the driving time is about 1 hour and 50 minutes.

Both 2WD and 4WD cars can easily reach the destination.

By public transport

- Take the train to Hanben Railway Station, the campsite is within walking distance from the station.
- The nearest main towns are Yilan or Hualien.

-從台北市到露營區約 145 公里，車程約 1 小時 50 分鐘。

兩驅車（2WD）以及四驅車（4WD）都可以輕鬆到達目的。

電車和公交車：

- 乘公交車到漢本火車站，從火車站步行即可到達露營地。
- 最近的城鎮是宜蘭或花蓮。

Other Things to Note:
- Mobile reception is good.
- No smoking allowed on the property
- no pets are allowed on the property.
- No unregistered guests or visitors are allowed.
- No meals are currently provided, but please make an appointment if you really need to.
- We would like to advise guests that longer stays or later check-outs will incur an additional charge

Important note :

- Don't forget to close the windows and lock the doors when leaving the tiny house
- Due to the nature of the property, abundant wildlife may be present on the property.
- Keep in mind that BBQ grills and outdoor fire pits are not available during a total fire ban.
- Make sure to turn off the lights, air conditioning, and electronics (e.g., especially chargers)
- In order to maintain the cleanliness and functionality of our flush toilets, a minimum additional cleaning fee is applied for stays of 5 nights or more. We appreciate your cooperation in ensuring a hygienic experience during your stay.
