Welcome to our beautiful home away from home in Celista, British Columbia (just 10 minutes away from Scotch Creek, about an hour from Kamloops, and 55 minutes from Salmon Arm). We are happy to share our property with you. This new listing is a unique property that has three separate units - the "main house," guest house, and bunkhouse/lounge - and comfortably sleeps six people and offers both the comforts of inside and outside living. Rental includes the ENTIRE property.
The Main House (Park Model):
The main house comfortably sleeps 4 people. There is a primary room with a queen bed, storage, and windows throughout. Just above the primary room is the loft with two twin mattresses that comfortably sleeps two kids (in a pinch three). The kitchen comes with a gas stove top with oven, dishwasher, fridge, and is well equipped to meet all of your dining/culinary desires. Eat at the kitchen island that sits four people or take your food outside to one of the many eating areas. Relax on the couch in the living room (pull out couch) with a book or watch TV or a movie from a selection of over 200 DVDs (or access Netflix). To ensure your comfort, there is a 4-piece bathroom and two heat pumps to ensure you are warm during the night and nice and cool during the hot summer days at The Cottage.
The Guest House:
Just off the main house is the guest house. This cedar planked room sleeps 2 guests (and a small child if necessary on a mat) on a very comfortable queen bed. The guest house is equipped with a three-piece bathroom and washer and drier. Relax in bed while watching a movie on your flat screen TV or put the Murphy bet up and convert the space into the perfect vacation office (excellent WIFI). The Guest House is equipped with a new A/C unit to ensure maximum comfort.
The Bunk House:
This is perhaps the most unique building on the property (well, I guess the whole property is quite unique). The Bunk House sleeps up to four and has a new Smart TV and DVD player. Choose from one of the over 200 DVDs to watch in the Bunk House or play one of the many board games. This building is equipped with an A/C unit to ensure maximum comfort.
Planning on bringing a boat with you? We have a buoy about a 2 minute drive away from The Cottage. For an additional cost, please reach out to your host to make arrangements.

Résumé: We are a blended family from central Alberta. Our group included 14 to 46 year olds. We were all happy with the property. We all loved the sleeping quarters, yard, gazebo and neighborhood. The dogs loved the yard. The 40s never found a reason to turn on the TV and the teens loved the DVD library and WIFI. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. Ample fridge space. We made good use of the coffee maker daily. The 20’s loved the hotel style bathroom soaps and hanging out in the gazebo. The property binder provided by the hosts had all the info we needed and more. The 3 sleeping areas made the different bed times and wake up times a breeze. Us 40s could go to bed and wake up early without annoying the young folk. Plus we didn’t have to hear their terrible music as we banished it to the bunk house. We took in events in Scotch Creek and Celista. We swam at the public beach and private beach. We rented a boat and explored the lake. The area has so much to do and the locals are nice and laid back. We were lucky to visit in August and indulged in locally grown fruits and vegetables. The property is easy to find and close to all kinds of activities. The Albus falls were our favorite. The Donkey refuge was a very close second. We had 3 vehicles and parking space to spare. Not able to think of any negatives about the property or the experience. It had everything we needed and more.
