Want entertainment? There’s a huge variety of options within easy driving distance. David, Panama’s 2nd largest city, is a 40 minute drive away and offers a large selection of bars and restaurants. If you are feeling more adventurous take a drive to Boquete and the Volcan de Baru National Park. You can hike, rock climb, try a rainforest zipline, or just enjoy a cup of some of the best coffee in the world straight from a local grower while checking out the spectacular setting.
Want something a little closer? Check out the restaurants right next door! On one side you have 3 beach style establishments that cater mainly to local clients. The food is great and really inexpensive (we like the middle one the best—try the seafood, you cannot go wrong). And, on the other side you have Las Olas Beach Resort. This restaurant is more upscale and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Beach activities? You have surfing, swimming, and, of course, the ever popular option of lounging in a beach chair (you will find plenty of chairs and beach gear in the front closet). If you want something more adventurous you can kayak, ride horses or even charter a fishing boat for the ultimate deep sea fishing experience.
Children are more than welcome but there are no organized activities. You will find the pool area to be very quiet as well as very family friendly.
Wildlife and fauna? Parrots, iguanas, monkeys, macaws, turtles and a huge variety of plants and flowers abound everywhere. Besides Brazil, Panama has the largest tropical rainforest in the world.
