Nestled in the historic mountain town of San Miguel in the south of Tenerife, La Bodega is just 15 minutes away from Tenerife South airport and 20 minutes from El Medano (beach), 25 minutes from Los Cristianos and Playa de Las Americas (beach) by car. It's a 45-minute drive up Teide or walking to the Canadas National Park from here takes 3 hours. Cycling a little less.
Being in such a location allows La Bodega guests to have the advantage of being away from the main tourist resorts yet easily accessible. Call it the best of both worlds! A more authentic Tenerife experience with the benefit of being able to enjoy all the "must do's" during your Tenerife stay.

4 boutique self-catering cottages share a heated saltwater pool and lush semi-tropical gardens, on three tiers. It's a paradise for migratory and year-round birds, like blue-tits, kestrels, canary and other types of finch. Canarian lizards, bats and the ever-present fluttering monarch butterflies. Some guests even call it the "Oasis that they long to return to", or my favourite a "home away from home!"
Outside in the grounds of la Bodega, there's sun lounges, eating areas, and a barbecue. Along with water features and blissful peace. Yes, it's quite common to find yourselves left alone with nature and the pool to yourself or with your partner, as the other guests go galavanting around the island to explore Tenerife's many charms and quirks.
Of course, Ray and Sheila the owners of the property are always on hand to cater to your any-whim if you need them, (they live on site, but away from their guests) and their home-cooked meals are something of folklore around here!
How about the langoustines with garlic bread and salad for the first night or maybe the Lamb shanks or the venison casserole with pomegranate jewels. I'm not even mentioning the oh so delicious, Trimasu and the die for chocolate mousse - whoops! They're just some of the homemade delicacies lovingly made. There's also several restaurants and bars in the area along with a wide selection of "recommended restaurants" in the reception area, where you can also help yourself to a bottle of wine or a DVD for a snuggly night in with just you and your partner.

It has a private balcony only accessible from your bedroom, with magnificent views over the swimming pool and gardens towards the coastline of El Medano and Golf Del Sur.
