The neighboring village of Los Belones is 2km away with its lively center, bars and restaurants.
Cartagena is 20 minutes by car. Romanesque historic town with its magnificent harbor, its amazing architecture and winding alleys with all types of shops.
On weekend evenings, Cartagena comes alive with street performances around the Piazza di Roma which is lined with great restaurants. The best preserved amphitheater outside Rome is also here and is used for concerts.
On foot or by bike, La Mar Menor welcomes you with beautiful beaches of soft sand and warm waters. Beautiful walks along the sea that extend for several kilometers. In the side streets of the beach several bars and restaurants serve incredible local specialties. The area is particularly famous for its fresh fish and seafood.
The sea of the Mar Menor is a vast lagoon measuring 27 km long, 9 km wide but only 9 meters deep in its center, which made it ideal for families as well as for water sports enthusiasts, waters are always warmer than the Mediterranean Sea which is separated from the land spit called La Manga del Mar.
If you prefer the breaking waves of the Mediterranean Sea, Cabo de Palos with its charming fishing port is 5 minutes away.
The Calblanque National Nature Park with its rugged and totally unspoiled, peaceful coastline, with many species of wildlife is within 10 minutes drive. During the summer, a shuttle is available from Los Belones to the beaches of the nature reserve (2km from Los Nietos).
