Résumé: My travel partners and I wanted a space near Lyon but not in the city, and this property was a perfect choice for us. It is located about 30 minutes from Lyon (by train or car), and was an easy drive to Groupama Stadium (just outside of Lyon) for the Women's World Cup matches. I would highly recommend having a car as this property is located a couple of kilometers from downtown Meximieux and its train station, and it serves as a fantastic home base for day trips in whichever direction you choose. The space was as advertised; very well equipped, very clean and beautifully decorated. Our first few days there it was particularly hot, and closing up the flat during the day was helpful to be more comfortable in the evening. The room with the two twin beds can get a little stuffy, however, so it is important to open up the skylight window and let a fan run for a little while. We cooked dinner in every night we were there, and did not need anything that was not already provided aside from groceries which we got from a store that is less than two kilometers away from this space. We also had a mellow day where we stayed in after going to the small market in Meximieux, and the pool on the property is absolutely lovely & very relaxing. The owners were very responsive and friendly and have done a fantastic job of providing a vacation rental that feels private and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again if I travel back to that region in France. If you want a calm, quiet space that comfortably accommodates 3-4 people - so should you! Highly recommend!
