In an area of great natural scenic beauty nestled between Oban and Lochgilphead, Harbour Master at Melfort Pier is a private self-catering apartment that has a stunning position right on the shores of Loch Melfort. The apartment enjoys spectacular views over the beautifully secluded Fearnach Bay.
Harbour Master comfortably sleeps 5, and can accommodate 6 with the addition of a pull out trundle bed in the single room.
Whilst staying in our cosy apartment, you might be lucky and see the two otters who live nearby, splashing in the water. There is an abundance of wildlife here, you may also see seals, sea eagles and a variety of other bird life when out and about on a local walk. There are lots of things to do locally too, apart from splashing around in the loch. You can hire a boat, paddleboards or kayaks, or maybe horse riding is more your thing? If you enjoy cafe culture and shopping, Oban is a mere 20 minutes away by car. You'll never be stuck for something to do, and at the end of the day there's nothing better than cosying up in front of the wood burner.
All on one level, with a main bedroom king size bed en-suite, a further bedroom with a king size bed and a single room that also offers a pull-out trundle bed at request for two children to share. In addition, a large family bathroom means that Harbour Master can comfortably accommodate a family of six.
Harbour Master features an open plan kitchen with dining area and living room where you can enjoy the views, along with a large cosy wood burner stove – the perfect place to sit down and discuss your discoveries after a day touring Argyll and the West Coast of Scotland.
Our apartments are dog friendly, we guarantee your dog will love the local walks and swimming in the loch! Do you have a boat that you’d like to bring? We can accommodate a boat up to 10ft, moored up right at the bottom of the steps, or we can arrange moorings out in the loch for larger boats.
Nearby attractions are varied and plentiful, you can do as much or as little as you wish from this peaceful location. Horse riding, paddle boarding, kayaking or a lazy lunch at the Loch Melfort hotel, all these activities are on your doorstep.
In good weather you can enjoy the BBQ provided at the apartment. Cooking al fresco after a day spent in the sunshine, enjoying the view, life doesn’t get much better!
