In the middle of nature !
In the Harz town Walkenried OT Wieda is ours
"House Schiefertal".
On three sides we can call the forest our neighbor.
Our resin village Wieda belongs to Walkenried, that with the Cistercian monastery
is a UNESCO World Heritage.
On a plot of more than 4000 square meters the "Haus Schiefertal", which we acquired in December 2010, has 7 apartments. 5 apartments we have prepared for holiday guests and 2 apartments inhabit our family.
Our previous owners named the apartments after the mountains and valleys of the area, we liked it!
On the property there is also a small stables, guests can bring their own horse.
In the garden is a small playground with a large trampoline, sandpit, swing, table tennis ...
A pavilion and barbecue is often used by the guests, here you can quickly get into conversation with other guests.
Since we are in the forest, we have opted for a well-kept natural garden.
We can also offer some bridges. One leads from the parking lot to the house, along this path you have to take a few steps, but is the most popular way to the house. The other bridge goes from the top floor to the forest and immediately leads to a footpath.

In the Vogelherd you have a living room with open kitchen. In front of the large window is a dining area for 2 people, so you can already think at breakfast what you can plan during the day. A large sofa invites you to linger. The kitchen is equipped with a 4-plate stove with oven, coffee maker and kettle. From the living room there is the large south-facing balcony.
The bedroom has a double bed and the bathroom has a shower.
In the house Schieferal is on the ground floor a sauna room for the guests (for a fee), in the attic is a laundry room here are washing machine and dryer, also for a fee, available.
Cot and high chair are available on request free of charge.
If you want to spend your holidays with a group with us, we can also offer rooms for up to 20 people!

One tip we would have: station Stöberhai with wild feeding is very popular with our guests!
The Café Wiedatal invites you not only to coffee and cake, here you get every morning fresh bread.
A small butcher's shop with fine sausages and meat products from our own production is also on site.
