LE CEZANNE, sleeps up to 4 people. Relax in the peace and tranquillity of the stunning french countryside in these delightful self-catering holiday cottages. They are set in 1.5 acres of pretty gardens within easy driving distance from the ports of Caen and St Malo.
There is a swimming pool, which is heated by solar energy, with plenty of sun-loungers and each cottage has its own private garden equipped with garden furniture. There are also BBQs. Within the grounds is a secure one acre field which is perfect as an area for family games or picnics. This is an ideal place for a relaxing holiday. The cottage has an open living area on the ground floor with electric heating and excellent facilities, a fridge-freezer, microwave, washing machine, DVD & CD player, Wi-Fi Hotspot, Sky TV. A travel cot, baby feeding chair and baby bath are also available. Bed linen and towels are provided.
Bagnoles de L'Orne: This is a glamorous little spa town with fabulous thermal baths and beauty treatments galore. The town has a lakeside casino and is brim full of cafes and wonderful restaurants. For the sportsperson there are tennis courts, boats, pedalos, mini-golf and horse riding. Or, if that is a little too energetic, take a relaxing walk around the lake or through the surrounding forest and drink in the atmosphere. You will fall in love with this town.
Domfront: Visit this glorious medieval town and be transported back in time. Wander through the narrow, winding, cobbled streets flanked by curiously quaint medieval houses and restaurants. Wind your way up the hill and you will discover the most spectacular views over the entire valley. A photo-opportunity not to be missed.
Sille le Guillaume: The kids will love this. A beautiful lake set in the midst of spectacular woodland. A beach, adventure playground and plenty of eateries and cafes. Need we say more..

Résumé: When arriving at the property we were impressed at the location an layout with a swimming pool and well maintained garden . The owner greeted us smoking and proceeded to show us to the gite. At a first glance all seemed good if somewhat dated . We soon began to find issues . Firstly all the cutlery and crockery felt greasy as if not washed properly by the previous guest . When we went to clean them there were no materials ,so we purchased them at the local intermarche. Having cleaned most of the items wiped down the worktops , we found all the towels to smell of cigarette smoke to a varying degree . Outside the table had a polka dot plastic cover which was covered in black grime as were the chairs. More cleaning. We then used the pool ! Lovely and relaxing a good plus especially on a warm day . The shower and bed were good . In the morning there was no water at all . Tried to contact the owner but no reply at the door or phone . No voice mail facility and no sms or other means . So we used our own bottled water to wash with after boiling it in the kettle. Had to use the largest pan from the kitchen to wash in as the sink plug didn’t fit . Just as we were leaving the gite the owner returned . We told him about the water problem . His response was to shrug and say “ahh it happens, it will come back on after a couple of hours “ . It had in fact already been off at least 3 1/2 hours . Whilst out we reluctantly agreed it was not acceptable and found alternative accommodation. On returning and having packed up our belongings , despite calling and ringing the cell , we had no reply so we’re not able to say goodbye and expltour reasons for leaving. With a little more attention to detail and customer care ,this could be a fantastic location for a family holiday. I wish the owner all the best and hope that these points are taken into consideration to ensure his business thrives .
