Ngongotahā is known for its fishing, with Lake Rotorua offering excellent rainbow and brown trout opportunities and easy boat access. The Ngongotahā Stream is a popular fishing spot, especially during spawning season.
Nature lovers will enjoy the nearby Mt Ngongotahā Scenic Reserve, featuring walking tracks through native bush and panoramic views of Rotorua. The Skyline Gondola and Luge are also close by, offering a mix of scenic beauty and adventure.
