Casa Vela is an exquisite luxury villa located on the north end of Sayulita overlooking the ocean, jungle and village. This unique house is a fusion of traditional Mexico and open-air beach living. The warm yellow walls and Saltillo tile floors invite you to sink in and relax with the ocean breeze and sounds of the crashing waves.
When you walk through the front door you are greeted by an expansive view of Sayulita’s bay and the beach that is only a short walk down the cobblestone street. The open Palapa living room is the perfect place to relax with family and friends, lounge by the infinity pool with a cold cerveza, watch the game on the tv, nap on the shaded outdoor sun bed, or shoot some pool on the championship pool table! You can check out the surf, watch the whales spout and the dolphins play from just about every room in the house as well.
The fully stocked kitchen with 15 ft. bar has everything you will need to create wonderful meals from the fresh local ingredients. Hand crafted copper sinks, Talavera tile and a commercial oven add to the rustic charm of this beautiful kitchen. In the adjacent Palapa dining area you will find a table for 10 and built in gas barbeque where you can grill up and serve the “catch of the day” from the fisherman of the village. At your request, a personal cook can be arranged to prepare Mexican delicacies for you.
From each bedroom you will awake from a restful night’s sleep to see the ocean stretching out in front of you. Brand new, comfortable mattresses and pillows, high quality linens and towels add to the luxury of this tropical retreat. For your security and peace of mind we have installed security safes in each bedroom.
The entire house is adorned with hand-selected art, decorations and furnishings from throughout Mexico. Together, these elements create a fun and eclectic style that is the perfect complement to the amazing views from every room in the house. The thoughtfully laid out floor plan and incomparable ambiance is perfect for entertaining!
The separate 2 bedroom upstairs Casita greets you with colorful rustic floor tiles and Mexican folk art. Patio doors open up so that you can enjoy the ocean view and breeze. Comfortable furniture and a compact but fully equipped kitchen area and attached bedroom make this Casita a perfect private hideaway or a great spot for families with children.
If you wish to host an event or retreat, an enclosed 1000sf deck with palapa covering provides the perfect space. This area also includes a kitchen, lounge and bathroom. Lush tropical plants and gentle sounds of the crying wall add to the ambiance and create a beautiful backdrop for your special event or retreat. The spacious deck easily accommodates 25 yoga mats, and with space for up to 50 guests, this is the sweetest spot for a wedding - rain or shine!
