Our cottage is a short walk to the beach where kids can enjoy swimming at high tide, or long walks/building sandcastles at low tide. We are located in Fernwood, PE - Approx. 20 minutes from the Confederation Bridge, 45 minutes from the Charlottetown Airport, 45 minutes from Cavendish and 20 minutes from Summerside.
Our unique A-frame cottage has 4 bedrooms - a Master bedroom with King bed and attached bath, a Double bedroom next to the kitchen, and 2 bedrooms upstairs - a Single bed, and a room outfitted with a pack-n-play with optional pack-n-play mattress for our smallest guests. (NOTE: The 'Murphy bed' listed in the ad is not in that room, it had no option for 'pack-n-play' or 'crib'.) Linens are provided in all bedrooms.
Our kitchen has a stove, microwave, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Keurig, toaster, kettle, blender, cutlery, pots and pans and dishware. The kitchen has an attached dining space. The cottage is cooled with a heat pump on the lower level, but the AC doesn’t flow upstairs well, so we’ve provided fans for the 2nd level, and there’s lots of windows for a breeze.
We have 2 bathrooms - one attached to the Master and Laundry spaces with a shower/tub combo, toilet and vanity, and a 2nd bathroom off the kitchen with his/hers sinks, shower and toilet. Facecloths, and hand, bath and beach towels are provided. We have a laundry space with washer and dryer.
The Living space features ROKU tv, so bring your streaming passwords!
The cottage has Wifi, but as a warning, speeds may not be as fast as what you're used to. The cottage does not have a phone.
Outside, we have a propane BBQ for use, as well as deck chairs.
We have a closet with some kids toys, outdoor toys and board games, as well as a small outdoor shed in which we'll put a beach wagon with some sand toys.
We will provide a starter supply of toilet paper, laundry pods, dish pods, coffee pods, sugar, sweetener, paper towel, dryer sheets, salt and pepper, foil, saran wrap and garbage bags. Guests will be responsible for buying more as needed.
This cottage is set up for a family, couple, or small group.
**This cottage is not suitable for PETS, PARTIES, GATHERINGS, and is a NON-SMOKING property. We ask that guests respect our neighbours by not speeding, cutting through properties to get to the beach, using amenities/playgrounds on other properties, or excessive noise. Failure to follow the house rules may result in being asked to leave without notice or refund.
