Torre dei Malaspina is a portion of a typical country residence in the Verona plain. There has already been mention of it since the 15th century and the property on which the villa was built can be seen in various beautiful drawings of the 17th and 18th centuries. The tower, now completely covered in ivy, was built in the second half of the 19th century and, in 1813, Francesco Malaspina utilised the property for his own use. It was towards the end of the 19th century, in 1881, that the property passed from the Malaspina family to the Finato family (the current owners). The imposing building that bears the name of Villa Verità, Malaspina, Finato-Martinati, is a large complex that still today retains its original characteristic of extensive country residence which oversaw the management of a large farm estate which, in the past, was dedicated to the cultivation of rice. The entire complex consists of an elegant dovecote tower, a manor house and a barchessa (typical Venetian rural service building) facing a large farmyard where, in the past, hundreds of people laboured in agricultural work while a garden in front of the manor house was designed by paths in boxwood. It was completely renovated in 2000, salvaging and restoring the original materials, including furnishing accessories, of the highest quality; handmade terracotta flooring, oak parquet in all the rooms, majolica ceramics, marble stairs, Murano glass chandeliers, professional kitchen appliances. The property is located inside a farm factory and is composed by a building divided into 2 units. One unit is the tower (Torre dei Malaspina) and is the part rented out to the guests, while the second unite next to the tower, that has been recently built up, is used by the proprietor and the staff. The factory farm is specialized in breeding of dairy cows and has large courts for the agricultural vehicles of the firm. The tower is well divided from the rest of the farm through high hedges and adult vegetation that provide privacy and tranquillity and grant to the guests the exclusive use of a large garden. Interior:
The property has four floors. From the elegant courtyard you accede to the large, ground-floor entrance with vaulted ceiling that leads to the stairwell up to the top floors. From the stairwell you accede to a guest bathroom, to the dining room and, across a hallway, to the fully-equipped kitchen. This hallway then leads to the living room with ornamental fireplace and then on to a room used as a library. From here another hallway/stairwell leads to a further guest bathroom. The choreographic antique marble staircase leads up to the first floor where a central hallway leads to two bedrooms and to a living/reading room. The first bedroom is a double with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower head, while the second is a twin with additional single sofa bed and en-suite bathroom with tub and shower head. From the living/reading room you go to the stairwell leading up to the tower (second floor) which leads to a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with tub and shower head, all in the particular style typical of the area. From this bedroom an internal staircase leads up to the third floor with an original reading room with characteristic windows offering a beautiful view of the park and pool area.

Park:
The 20.000 sq m garden of Torre dei Malaspina surrounds the house with lawn, hedges of laurel, olive trees, red maples, flower beds with geraniums, lavender and fruit trees (cherries and apricots). Next to the pool area is a large gazebo furnished with a big table for outdoor meals. Also within the large garden, and near the pool area, is a grass, five-a-side football field.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool is located in the large garden and is reached along an unpaved path from the house. It measures 6 x 12 m with a constant depth of 1,40 m; lined in sky-blue PVC, it has chlorine purification and steel ladder for access to the water. There is both internal and external lighting and a hot and cold-water shower. The border around the pool edge is paved in Botticino stone with white, non-slip treatment; the surrounding sunbathing area, also paved in Botticino stone, is equipped with sunbeds and a gazebo with table and chairs. In the gazebo area is also a changing room and a bathroom for use of the pool. The pool is available from the last Saturday of April to the first Saturday of October.
Pets:Yes, small size. € 30,00 per animal per week to be paid on site. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
