HISTORICAL:
The apartment is part of an old building from 1927, which was originally built for the politician from the working party in Denmark. It quickly got the nickname "Mini Pamper" because the locals felt that the politicians had used their influence and power to get better apartments that everyone else - something that far from the truth.
In 1997 Copenhagen sold the building to the people living in it, and it was changed into a housing cooperative.
DESCRIPTION:
A light, quiet and spacious 100m2 apartment on the 1st floor with 2 balconies and views over of Copenhagen's Old Parks. (June 2019: The park is under renovation, so not much to look at, but the birds are still singing.)
Located in a fashionable area of Copenhagen where tranquilly is beautifully combined with a lively atmosphere.
Plenty of designer shops, restaurants, bars and cafes.
Close to Carlsberg brewery, Vega-House of Music, Zoo, Tivoli funfair, Planetarium, the New Halmtorvet expeditions and Café area, public transportation and Supermarkets.
The apartment has a very personal touch, giving it a homely feel.
There are 2 living rooms, where the balcony from the dining room has direct sun in the morning until around 13:00, and the balcony from the relaxation area has the sun from around 14:00 to 17:00.
The bedroom no. 1.: Has a 180 cm wide double bed, a small hanger and shelves for clothes.
The bedroom no. 2.: Has a 160 cm wide double bed, a closet, and shelves for clothes.
Both rooms have views over the park, and there are both linen, towels and facecloth provided.
PLEASE NOTE: If a booking for 2 guests needs both bedrooms, the price is an extra 15 euros pr. night. After the booking, please write me a message and I will add an extra payment request.
The bathroom is spacious, yet minimalist.
The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, freezer, dishwasher, oven and microwave.
Sorry but NO smoking.
We speak Danish, English and understand German.
Other facilities: Internet access. Ironing facilities. Safe parking for bikes. Linen, towels and facecloth are provided.
Facts: 100 m2 apartment with 2 living rooms, bedroom, bathroom, kitchen. 1st floor, no lift. Close to the center yet extremely quiet in a green area. Close to both buses and local train station. Not suited for guests with cats and dog allergy.

Lovely place to discover Copenhagen
First trip to Copenhagen and great experience with the accommodation. I had selected Malene's place with the help of the reviews on this site and spent a great time there. I got what I booked, there were no surprises. I liked the style of the flat, the rooms are bright and furnished with some lovely pieces. The rooms were equipped with all you need in case you wanted to prepare your breakfast in the kitchenette and you can also find information material on Copenhagen and all the touristic sites. The bathroom is spacious and equipped with an open shower. All the rooms are very clean and the flat is very calm. The location of the flat is within an approx. 20-25 minutes walk from Central station and easily reached by public transportation (various bus lines). Above all it was a pleasure to meet the owner. She was very helpful, hospitable, easy-going and nice to chat with. I can absolutely recommend Malene's place!

My wife and I have stayed in a number of B & Bs in Canada and the US and have always had an enjoyable experience. Our first choice is normally a hotel but when we are staying in less populated areas we find a B&B to be a much better option. The hosts are usually knowledgeable, helpful and enthusiastic tourist advocates for the area and we often have other interesting guests. I know that Copenhagen does not qualify as a small but a medical conference going on that week we were left with no other option. The "VisitCopenhagen" site listed a number of B & Bs so choosing one long distance was a bit of a toss of the dice. This is where other reviews became useful. We like what we read about Copenhagen Bed & Bath and Malene (and her 3 boys) and thought it would be a good fit. We were not disappointed. Malene told us upfront that her B&B was "bed and bath" and not "bed and breakfast" as we are used to but that did not pose a problem. There are a number of nice cafes and restaurants in the area and Malene was helpful in telling us about them. Her location is only about a 15 minute walk from the downtown center which opens up many more dining options. She does have a nicely equipped kitchen with a couple of fridges, stove, kettle, microwave, toaster, dishes and utensils so we bought some fruit, yogurt and bread for our breakfast the second morning. The apartment was spacious and tidy. It even had a bit of a view of the park across the street. The bed mattress was fine, and bed linen was provided. The central bathroom was kept clean and all towels were provided. Malene was a gracious host. She was there when we needed her which we much prefer to the "in your face" types. Besides advice with regards to cafes in the area and things to do in Copenhagen, she was accommodating with regards to letting us stay a little past check-out time, letting us use a laptop to get a few emails off to our family and arranging a taxi to get us to the cruise ship. It was much appreciated. Needless to say, we enjoyed our couple days with Malene and would recommend it to anyone else looking for accommodation that is quiet, clean, conveniently located and reasonably priced.

Résumé: We enjoyed our stay in Copenhagen! The apartment is nicely located in a quiet neighbourhood, but close enough to the action and sights of the city. Malene was very helpful with booking us a few taxis during our trip and was available by phone for any concerns during our stay. The space was comfortable and convenient as grocer was a block away and train station a five minute walk. The only negative was the towel situation. Malene, you need to get new towels!! Preferably softer and thicker!
