Grab your favorite cold beverage, your boat, float or preferred water toy, and dock up at the private pier at “Sip into Sunset”! Take in the most breathtaking sunsets where the Rivah meets the bay! Hot tub is seasonal and will be closed November 1-April 1.
This vintage 60’s fishing cottage, located on quaint Gwynn’s Island, has been updated with modern amenities and professionally decorated for your relaxing stay! Launch one of our kayaks or our SUP directly from our private dock (adult life jackets provided), or use our giant floating mat for a lazy day in the water. Pop in for a swim from the easy access swim ladder. Fish and crab right from the dock with our poles and crab pots, enjoy a nice bottle with friends while dolphin watching or stargazing and finish the day with a hot outdoor shower (seasonally) under the stars. For a beach day, head to our community beach only 2 blocks away. You can use our two adult bikes to pedal over. We also provide beach towels and chairs - we make your vacation as effortless as possible!
Enjoy evenings on the oversized screened in porch or the patio that features a hot tub (seasonally), string lights and fire pit (bring your S’mores) all while taking in amazing views. Cook or mix a signature cocktail using our herbs from our herb garden that features fresh rosemary, basil, mint, thyme, parsley and cilantro.
Our updated kitchen features stainless appliances , abundant storage and mother-of-pearl backsplash. We are fully stocked with dishes and cookware, including small appliances and a coffee bar featuring local coffee from Mobjack Bay Coffee Roasters. Garage/game room with laundry facilities, TV for video games (we provide a PlayStation3 and 16 games for various ages), an air hockey table, and an extra refrigerator. Eat in our sunny dining room with nearly 180 degree water views. Enjoy our spacious, vibey family room with an oversized couch and a sectional that converts to a pit sofa for movie night and additional pull out beds (2 full sized) that comfortably sleep 2. Find board and card games for all ages in our entertainment center.
Bedroom with queen bed has a large closet, ceiling fan, tv with fire stick for streaming, sound machine and decorative fireplace with driftwood mantle. Crisp white bedding and black out shades for sleeping in. King bedroom with large double closet and ceiling fan, TV with fire stick for streaming, sound machine, black out shades and crisp white bedding.
There are ceiling fans in both bedrooms, living room, dining room, and screen porch. A/C is available indoors. There is also a HEPA filter.
Beach and bath towels provided, as well as all bedding. 2 full baths and outdoor shower are stocked with shampoo, conditioner, and body wash.
The home is equipped with smoke alarms, a fire extinguisher, and a first aid kit. We have one security camera located at garage window, pointing at driveway so we can ensure the security of the house when it is vacant, as well as see if any unregistered guest/pets are entering the property. It records video and sound, 24/7, and is only monitored when guests check in and out.

Bring friends to explore the Chesapeake Wine Trail. One of our favorites located at The Hope and Glory Inn is The Dog and Oyster Vineyard. Mathews, Kilmarnock, White Stone, Urbanna, Deltaville and all of the little River towns surrounding have adorable shopping and fine dining, makes it easy for a day of shopping, sipping and exploring. Deltaville has a semi-pro baseball team with summer fireworks, a small town summer tradition! Be sure to check out The Tides Inn for their famous “Lancaster Lemonade” cocktail as well as their events calendar, or enjoy an elegant evening on their lawn.
